My name is Nicky Rose and I am originally from Anchorage, Alaska. From 1995-1998 I was the starting setter for Texas State University. After graduating from college, I was the Assistant Volleyball Coach at the University of Alaska Anchorage for 15 years. In 2019, my family and I relocated to La Crosse, WI where I was a Volunteer Assistant Coach for the UWL volleyball team and a head coach for the Onalaska Volleyball Club for 2 years.

I am so incredibly excited to work with an amazing coaching staff as well as an exceptionally talented group of student-athletes at Holmen High School!

Hello! I am excited to continue my coaching journey for another season at Holmen High School! I am a Holmen Alumni and began coaching here after graduating in 2014. After graduation, I attended Western Technical College and graduated with a degree in Business Management. I began my career with Kwik Trip in 2014 as well and I am still currently employed there. My boyfriend, Justin, and I live in Holmen and have a beautiful daughter, Brynlee, together.

Volleyball is my favorite sport and my love for the game started at a very young age. I played competitively for most of my childhood and continue to play in adult indoor and sand leagues. I began my volleyball journey by playing through the park and rec programs at a young age. I played six years of school volleyball and three years of club volleyball through Viterbo. During those years, I played a variety of positions. In middle school, I started as a setter and continued into my freshman year as a middle and defensive specialist (DS). My sophomore through senior year, I was an outside, right side, and DS. During my club seasons, I was an outside, middle, right side, DS and libero.

In addition to my playing experience, I have many years of coaching experience as well. I began my coaching journey at the Holmen Park and Rec, where I coached a variety of sports, including volleyball, in 2012-2014. In the fall of 2014, I began coaching at Holmen High School as the JV coach. I moved up to the VR level for the fall 2018 season and have been happily coaching there since. During my time at Holmen High School, I have also coached for V-Hawk Xtreme Volleyball Club. Through coaching, I have been able to continue my love for the game and found that I enjoy what experiences coaching offers. As a coach, I enjoy being able to share in the moment when each player achieves her goals, as well as, sharing the excitement of a great pass, set, hit, block, or serve. For me, coaching is all about connecting with the girls, helping them develop their volleyball skills and knowledge, and supporting the girls both on and off the court.

I am excited to see what this season will bring to the Holmen Volleyball program!

I am a Holmen alumni and I am excited to be back in my hometown. I was a previous Language Arts teacher, and am now an HHS school counselor. I played volleyball for Holmen in high school as a DS. I was a middle school volleyball coach for 3 years before coming to Holmen in 2018. 

I love the relationships I am able to build during a sports season with students outside the classroom environment. Chracter building and goal setting are at the foundation of my coaching philosphy, and I can't wait to meet your daughter(s) and work with them to be both better players and better people. Let's have a great season!

I am originally from Fond du Lac, WI. I attended Luther College in Decorah, IA where I played volleyball all four years as a setter. During my time at Luther College, I coached club volleyball, ran many volleyball camps and private lessons, as well as led strength and conditioning programs. After graduating college, I moved to La Crosse to pursue my Master's in Physical Education. I now coach for Xtreme Volleyball Club as well the Freshmen Team at Holmen High School. 

I enjoy teaching athletes the fundamentals of volleyball as well as challenging them in their abilities. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with incredible student-athletes at Holmen High School.
