TAG Program Statement

TAG staff members are dedicated to maximizing learning beyond the universal curriculum for talented and gifted students.  Providing superior learners with instruction that will foster high level thinking and personal development will result in more complete, productive individuals, who are prepared to reach their fullest potential to better themselves and society.

TAG Program Goal

• Identify students who demonstrate exceptional talents and, therefore, need accommodations beyond the regular classroom curriculum. 
• Establish programs and services that are responsive to the specific academic, social, and emotional needs of talented and gifted students.
• Design, develop and implement high-quality curriculum that is derived from research based models in talented and gifted education.
• Encourage participation in activities to challenge students to meet their potential.
• Maintain open communication with all stakeholders.
• Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of the program and services, and make suggestions for continuous improvement.
