Teacher - Grade 4 Email Phone: 608.526.1600 Teaching has always been a life-long dream of mine. This year marks my eighteenth year teaching in the Holmen School District.
My philosophy of education is to make each child feel safe and comfortable in a "responsive" classroom environment. I know I love coming to school each day and I hope to instill this love of life-long learning in each of my students. I feel the social curriculum is just as important as the academic and therefore incorporate morning meeting and social, emotional, community building activities into each day.
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire in 2006 with degrees in Elementary and Special Education. I started teaching second grade at Evergreen Elementary in 2007 and graduated with a Masters in education from University of Wisconsin - La Crosse in 2010. Currently, I love spending my days with my Fourth Graders!
When I'm not enjoying teaching, I love to be with my family and friends. My husband is a Holmen High School Science teacher, and we have two daughters and two sons. I love camping, hiking, reading, crafting, shopping, decorating, traveling, and cooking/baking!
