Associate Principal - Middle School Email Phone: 608.526.3391 x5415
My name is Brady Turner and I’m excited to get to work with the amazing students, staff, and families of Holmen Middle School as one of the Associate Principals.
Originally from the small town of Balsam Lake in northern Wisconsin, I attended Unity High School. After graduating, I pursued an education at UW-La Crosse, focusing on physical education and adapted physical education. In 2016, I started my teaching career in Marshfield, Wisconsin, as an elementary physical education teacher. Two years later, I relocated to La Crosse to be closer to family and joined the Tomah Area School District where I taught PE for two years while also obtaining my health education license through UW-Oshkosh. In 2021, I joined Holmen High School as a physical education and health education teacher. During my time at Holmen High, I completed my Masters of Arts in Education with Principalship Licensure. Throughout my teaching career, I've also been involved in coaching basketball, baseball, and volleyball among other events and activities.
My wife, Makenzie, and I currently reside in La Crosse with our son, Boston. Makenzie is an elementary physical education and adapted physical education teacher at Holmen's elementary schools. Our family also includes our dog, Loki, and cat, Sunny, who keep us both busy and entertained. Together, we cherish our time outdoors, specifically hiking, visiting parks, camping, and enjoying water activities. We are also passionate about Wisconsin sports, cheering enthusiastically for the Brewers, Packers, and Badgers whenever possible.
Each day I am lucky to come to work with the amazing students, staff, and families of Holmen Middle School. I look forward to working together towards our mission to educate and empower all students to achieve success today and in the future.
