Teacher- Academic Success Email Phone: 608.526.3372 Hello, my name is Donah Callaway. I have been employed with the Holmen School District since 2005, and I’m proud to be a part of this wonderful community. My husband and I moved to Holmen in 1995, and it was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.
I have two daughters who have been students in the Holmen District, and I am very proud of the education they have received. This has been an excellent place to work and raise children.
I currently teach Academic Success. Academic Success Center (ASC) provides a structured, academically supportive study environment, and offers one-on-one assistance. Students have the opportunity to complete homework assignments, make-up work, receive assistance on assignments or projects, and take tests.
In addition, I teach a newer course offering called Why Try. The WhyTry Program is a resilience education curriculum that provides simple, hands-on solutions for dropout prevention, violence prevention, truancy reduction, and increased academic success.
My ultimate goal as a teacher is a very basic one, and that is to teach students how to broaden their horizons by becoming lifelong learners and connecting their experiences in the classroom to the outside real world. I strive to help each student become successful. Many times they just need to know that someone believes in them. I want students to see that anything is possible with motivation and a positive attitude. I believe teaching is an incredibly important profession and I’m honored to be a part of it.
My motto is “Never, Ever Quit!”
