Teacher - Technology Education Email Phone: 608.526.3372 Good day! I graduated from UW-River Falls in 2005, and began my teaching career at Marion High School, teaching Agriculture and serving as FFA Advisor for three years. In 2008, I moved to Independence High School, and over the next 13 years served in the role of Agricultural Science Teacher, Tech Ed Teacher, and FFA Advisor. At Independence, I taught every course title in the Agriscience and Tech Ed Departments, but found Small Engines, Metal Fabrications, Ag Mechanics/Tractor Restoration, Woods, and Plant & Soil Science classes to be my favorites to teach! Here at Holmen you will find me teaching Into to Tech. Ed, Small Engines, Robotics, and Electronics classes.
I live in my hometown of Trempealeau, am married to my wife Molly, and have two children. Outside of school you can find me bow hunting in the fall, with a fishing pole on the lake (winter or spring), or working my side-hustle vegetable farm in the summer!
I am a BIG advocate for career and technical education, and highly encourage ALL students to participate in organizations like FFA and SkillsUSA! The opportunities for students to learn real-world skills in classes, then showcase them in these organizations (and see how they stack up with other students from the state and nation) teaches work ethic, leadership skills, and career success. Step out of your comfort zone, and learn more about the opportunities available in Skills USA and FFA by attending the next meeting... you will be glad you did!
