Welcome to First Grade!

My name is Laura Ruger and I am a first-grade teacher at Evergreen Elementary.  I have been teaching first grade for 8 years and overall for 14 years.  I love teaching first-grade because it is a year of tremendous growth in all areas.  I strive to create a classroom community in which all students are respected and feel safe.  We learn to accept other's differences and that our differences is what makes us special and our classroom complete.
