Hello, I am Mr. Havlik and I have been teaching math  at  Holmen  since 2013. 

My educational history starts with graduating from Logan High School and going on to Winona State where I studied physics, psychology and  philosophy. I continued my education at Illinois State where I graduated with masters in clinical counseling and statistics. In 2009, I returned to school and earned my teaching certification in mathematics, chemistry, physics and broad field science. 

My wife, son and I moved back to the area in 2011. This was a return to an area we love and where I grew up. I love to be with my family either hiking, biking, running, reading or just hanging out. I have an yellow lab who is my morning walking mate and a great hunting partner. I love playing, watching and coaching all sports.   The sport of the season is usually where you will find me coaching  or watching my son.

I am thrilled to be at Holmen this fall and working with your daughter or son.  

I love teaching and learning.   Some of us learn best by doing, some by reading, and some by watching. Some of us can learn something the first time and some need another try. Some of us can learn best in large groups and some need small group or individual attention. I try to incorporate all types of learning in my classroom to keep all students challenged.
