Hello Vikings! My name is Sarah Thompson, and I am the new Associate Principal at Holmen Middle School. I am incredibly proud and excited to join HMS School and support our students and their families.

I am originally from the nearby community of Arcadia, Wisconsin. I graduated in 2002 and pursued my degree in education at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. After graduation, I began my career as a special education teacher in the Melrose-Mindoro School District. Within one year of working at Mel-Min, I started the process of obtaining my Masters's in Educational Leadership while adding my Reading 316 and 317 licenses through Viterbo. In 2019, I was hired as the District Literacy Specialist and had most recently served as a Program Coordinator - a district-wide administrative role in Onalaska. In 2022, I was hired as the Associate Principal at Holmen Middle School. 

I live in the Holmen community with my husband, children, and dog. I have been married to my husband for ten years; Chris works full-time on active duty in the Army National Guard. My three kids are Keegan, Ellianna, and Kamden. 

Education is a lifelong process, and I look forward to learning more about the Holmen School District this year and in the future. I am excited to bring my experience, openness to learning, and student-centered approach to support our students at Holmen Middle School. I look forward to building a partnership with families and community members because the relationships between the two are vital to the success of our students.

I will commit to and complement the mission in your district: educate and empower all students to achieve success today and in the future. Together, we will continue to move Holmen Middle School students forward as we prepare them for their future.
