Teacher - Gifted & Talented (TAG) Email Phone: 608.526.3391 I am the Talented and Gifted Teacher for the middle school. I have been teaching full-time at HMS since 2011. Prior to moving back to Wisconsin, I also taught in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
My undergraduate degree is elementary education/human development. I also attended law school and practiced law for fifteen years in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I returned to teaching when my daughter was in third grade. I began my tenure at Holmen as a substitute teacher, followed by a temporary position teaching several English as a Second Language students who were just learning English. My initial full-time position at Holmen Middle School was .5 English as a Second Language and .5 TAG. Both positions became full-time, and I was transferred to the TAG position, in the 2015 school year.
I have a talented and gifted husband and also a talented and gifted daughter who graduated from Holmen High School in 2015. She graduated from Marquette University in its Honors Program in 2019 with a double-major in English Literature and History. She now attends the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill in its English Literature Ph.D. program.
