Hello!!

I live in La Crosse with my husband, Lewis. He is a special education teacher at the middle school.   We are "Empty Nesters"!  Three of our daughters are living in Madison, and we try to visit them often. Our 4th daughter lives in Chicago with her partner, our first birth granddaughter and two-step grandsons. I LOVE being a grandma!! For fun, I love making stained-glass, hiking, biking, swimming, and reading!!

I grew up in Ohio in a large family of ten. After graduating with my degree in special education, I joined the Peace Corps and worked in Morocco for 3 years. When I returned, I lived in Annapolis, Maryland and taught in a special education school with preschoolers. My husband and I then moved to the Madison area, where I worked in Barneveld. I was fortunate to stay at home when my three older children were young. I returned to special education in 2000 the same year we welcomed our daughter from China. I worked in the Westby Middle School for seven years before our family moved to La Crosse. Since that time, I have worked at Evergreen (this being my 15th year). I love being a part of this dynamic school!!!
