I was born and raised in Wisconsin.  In 1991, I completed a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse.  Then I continued my formal education by attending Florida State University to earn my Masters degree in Social Work as well as a Marriage and Family Therapy certificate.  I secured a job as a clinical social worker for several years in upstate New York but longed to be back in Wisconsin near family so I moved back in 2003.  In 2006, after moving back to Wisconsin I worked in the La Crosse School District as a long term sub for a school social worker and fell in love with the school work environment.  My first job as a school social worker was in Sparta High School for two years and then in August of 2008, I was grateful for the opportunity to work in the Holmen School District.  I enjoy working with students and their families to help remove barriers and set them up for success at school and in the larger community.   I am licensed in Wisconsin as a Clinical Social Worker and a School Social Worker.
