Hello and welcome! In order to maintain a school environment that encourages optimum human growth and development for its students and employees, it is the policy of the School District of Holmen to maintain and take all necessary and appropriate actions to ensure a learning and working environment free of any form of discrimination/harassment toward students, personnel, school board members, volunteers, and visitors. Harassment/discrimination undermines the integrity of the District’s employment and academic relationships, and will not be tolerated.
The School Board acknowledges all regulations, requirements and responsibilities defined by both State and Federal equal rights laws regarding harassment/discrimination. The Board does not discriminate on the basis of a student's age, race, creed, color, disability, pregnancy, marital or parental status, religion, sex, citizenship, national origin, ancestry, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or gender nonconformity.
Every five years, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction requires school districts to complete a self-evaluation of practices related to school counseling, activities and athletics, and scholarships and awards. The self-evaluation required by PI 9.06, Wis. Admin. Code, is more than simply a legal requirement. It is an invaluable tool that can be used to strengthen our commitment and efforts to foster equitable and successful schools for all students. Below, please find the report and recommendations of the 2017 self-evaluation.
