The School District of Holmen offers free CPR classes for District employees and District employed coaching staff.
Teachers that are required as part of their job description (below) to take the CPR Class during non-contracted time are compensated for taking the CPR Class. Please complete an Educator Payment Form after attending the class and send it to Anna Lee in Instructional Services. Teachers who would like to take the class that are not required to have it as part of their job description are welcome to do so, on their own time. There is no compensation unless it is a requirement of the position you hold. NOTE: YOU MAY NOT USE CPR TRAINING TO FULFILL YOUR FLEXIBLE STAFF DEVELOPMENT HOURS.
Employees that are required to have CPR Certification as part of their Job Description are expected to complete a CPR Class as soon as possible after hired. The list of employees/classifications that CPR is required as part of the job description is listed below.
**Non-District Employees, including Long Term Substitutes, are charged a $38.00 class fee.
**Checks can be made out to "School District of Holmen" and should be turned in to the Instructor on the day of your class.
Note for EA Substitutes
Educational Assistant Subs are required to be certified in CPR. If you are an Educational Assistant Substitute, you are welcome to sign up for one of our classes, however, since you are employed through Teachers on Call and not the School District of Holmen, you will need to pay the $38.00 class fee at the time of the class.
Note for Long Term Substitutes
If you are a Long Term Substitute, you are welcome to sign up for one of our classes, however, you will need to pay the $38.00 class fee at the time of the class.
All Classes will be held at the District Office, in the new addition Training Rooms East/West (Lower Level).
Sign up can be done on the CPR Class Calendar. There are a limited number of spaces in each class due to the number of training materials, so if you show up without signing up in advance, you could be turned away. Please make sure you sign up at least 2 working days in advance of the class date; classes will be canceled if there are not enough employees signed up.
