I&T Department works to support the District mission and vision. The scope and direction of District technology programs and projects is guided by the Technology Committee. The Technology Committee, in January 2017, approved the following goals and measures for the I&T Department:
- Comprehensive technology training is offered to staff year-round. Large group and individual training is offered on an ongoing basis.
- 99.95% technology system up-time is maintained Monday thru Friday from 6:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- 99.7% technology system up-time is maintained at other hours.
- Helpdesk requests are fulfilled in a timely manner.
- Emergency Help Desk calls are answered on the first call, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- All Help Desk requesters receive, within two business days, communication minimally acknowledging receipt of their request and a tentative timeline to reach a solution.
- Inventory of District-owned technology equipment, valued at or over $100, is maintained and continually updated.
- A physical verification of technology inventory, valued at or over $100, is completed annually.
- A system and budget is maintained for regular upgrades and replacement of technology. As part of this system:
- Desktops are refreshed on a 5-year cycle.
- Laptops are refreshed on a 4-year cycle.
- Classroom Chromebooks are refreshed on a 4-year cycle.
- Student Chromebooks are refreshed on a 3-4-year cycle.
- iPads are refreshed on a 4-year cycle.
- Smartboard and AV technology is refreshed at end-of-life.
- Maintenance and updates are performed regularly on District technology equipment to assure optimal function and usability.
- Customer satisfaction is surveyed through annual District survey and Helpdesk ticket completion surveys.
