About the Print Shop
The District maintains a print shop for staff use. The print shop is in place to handle high-volume print and copy requests in the most efficient manner possible.
The efficiency of the print shop is best realized for jobs of 100 or more printed faces of paper. Smaller jobs are best completed on copiers available to staff at their respective buildings. Please use school copy machines for jobs of 100 or fewer printed faces of paper, unless print-shop specific services such as binding or booklet-making are required.

Hard Copy Job Submission
You can also send a hard copy of the document to the print shop via the District courier or by stopping in the print shop at the High School. The hard copy submission option is going to be phased out as the District is moving to a digital format for efficiency.
Be sure to include the following information with your request: date job is to be completed by, number of copies, type of paper, color of paper, single-sided or double-sided copies, whether any collating, stapling, or hole punching is needed, and other special instructions.
Turnaround Time
The print shop is typically able to complete requests within four business days, defined as 7am to 1pm. Completed copy jobs are picked up from the high school once each business day at approximately 7am and delivered to requested buildings.
For hard copy jobs submitted via District courier, please add two business days to the above estimate.
Print Shop Correspondence
The print shop is primarily staffed by Lisa Pederson.

The District's I&T Services Department oversees the print shop. For any comments or concerns regarding the print shop and its services, please reach out to the Director of Information & Technology.
Why use the print shop?
The print shop achieves efficiency in two ways. First, jobs can be produced in less time, as the print shop uses equipment with a printing speed higher than copiers and printers found throughout the District's schools and offices. Second, jobs can be produced at a lower cost, as the equipment used in the shop produces printed pages for a lower cost of toner and equipment upkeep than imaging equipment throughout the rest of the District.

Summer Closure
The print shop does not operate through summer. The last day of print shop operation each June is the last workday for school-year staff. The print shop re-opens for fall in mid-August.
