When District staff/students are attending or sponsoring events at non-district sites, the owner of the non-district site may have concerns about the liability exposure created by their hosting our staff/students. This is one of many examples where others might have concerns about liability exposure associated with collaboration with the District. To help alleviate their concerns, collaborators may ask the District to provide evidence we have liability insurance. Evidence of insurance is demonstrated by a document called a Certificate of Insurance.
Completing the Request for Certificate of Liability Insurance (electronic) form will provide all the information necessary to get a Certificate of Insurance from the District’s Insurance carrier. Submit the completed form to Business Services. Allow three (3) business days from submittal to receive the Certificate of Insurance.
A fee may be charged by the District’s insurance provider for issuing a Certificate of Insurance. Fees will be charged to the budget area requesting the Certificate of Insurance.
